My Gothic Valentine

A bundle of black roses partnered with a black heart shaped box full of chocolates, yeah, that sounds nice. Maybe you want to spice it up and add a bit of excitement to your gothic valentine. From the mouth a female goth, here's what my idea of a lovely valentine evening might look like:

Start with a neatly made bed.

Candles (any color, scented or unscented)

OR

AMBIENT LIGHT

INCENSE

I, personally love Dragon's Blood incense

Sexy goth music

If you are not sure of their favorite sexy goth music, a fail-safe for me is the queen of the damned soundtrack ;)

Wine

I prefer some cheap plum wine. But if you know of some yummy yums, go for it.

Successful Goths

Razor Candi, A very successful gutter goth. She has been modeling for a long time now. On her facebook there are links to her stores and modeling sites. RazorCandi has one of the most beloved styles and a timeless fashion sense. Her hair color is never the same along with her modeling. She is just awesome.

Dita Von Teese, at one point was married to Marilyn Manson but continued on with her sexy career. She has to be one of the biggest inspirations to woman with curves. News to me, She was born in Michigan like me!!! 

Amy lee. We all HAVE to appreciate Amy for being who she is. If it wasn't for evanescence, I don't know what I would've done growing up as a goth kid. 

Tim Burton, A true Goth through and through! His amazing creativity and drive to make all of his wonderful films for us, truly an intricate and successful GOTH! Thank you Tim.

Establishing Self Induced Trance with Music

Have you ever put yourself into a trance?

For centuries, music has been a key element to culture and personal wellbeing. Music can be used to put someone into a trance or used for self induced trance.

When listening to your favorite music, do you ever get that warm sensation that washes over your entire body and your brain suddenly has no focus on the outside world? That's what I'd consider a trance. Its something I am very familiar with and believe it has a huge impact on my life and mental health.

When you are having a bad day, everything sucks and everyone is frolicking on your last nerve, take a  break. You need a moment when you become overwhelmed! Try to keep headphones with you at all times, either in your car or your pocket and slip away for a while.

Find different kinds of music that soothe you or make you feel better.
Some days, I just need some loud and heavy music with crazy lyrics. Other days, I need meditation music with soft chimes and no lyrics. Find your music, make your playlists and keep your music close. Slip away and forget that everything and everyone sucks. Just tell yourself how much you DON'T care.

These were just a taste of what I enjoy disappearing to. I love music, it is who I am and I appreciate every artist that puts their heart and soul into their music!!
