To Cheer Us Up

Lately i've noticed a few things about myself:

  • I've ben a bit stir crazy due to the fact that I do not have a driver's license even though I'm 21
  • My interest in my own life keeps taking sudden nose dives without warning
  • I'm not taking the steps to fix any of my problems
  • I have been literally avoiding myself
This is somewhat of a personal subject, but I need to address this in the only way I know how, by burying myself in knowledge and information, class and talent of other people, beauty and bizarre.

When I'm feeling down, or bummed, I love watching videos of confident people. I love finding out more about this person, internet famous, Hollywood famous, or not any kind of famous. My findings lately have been kind of small. Could it be that your either are or you're not?! hmm, well, I know how hard it is just being a person. A person trying to make ends meet, to find somewhere we belong, but this is getting a bit off topic, here are some of my favorite people:

I've been following the shaytards for 4 years. They are a beautiful example of an all American family with loving parents, wonderful children and real lives with real problems and lots of patience!
Watching their videos ALWAYS cheer me up, their videos also provide positive insight and mindset.

ah, we love jennamarbles, ah

Adora has been a wonderful role model for young baby bats and adult goths of all sorts.

These crazy people always cheer me up ^.^

I think I might try vlogging again...But I love text sooo much more!! If anyone could give me some advice on video editing programs for an old mac, it would be very much appreciated!

Establishing Self Induced Trance with Music

Have you ever put yourself into a trance?

For centuries, music has been a key element to culture and personal wellbeing. Music can be used to put someone into a trance or used for self induced trance.

When listening to your favorite music, do you ever get that warm sensation that washes over your entire body and your brain suddenly has no focus on the outside world? That's what I'd consider a trance. Its something I am very familiar with and believe it has a huge impact on my life and mental health.

When you are having a bad day, everything sucks and everyone is frolicking on your last nerve, take a  break. You need a moment when you become overwhelmed! Try to keep headphones with you at all times, either in your car or your pocket and slip away for a while.

Find different kinds of music that soothe you or make you feel better.
Some days, I just need some loud and heavy music with crazy lyrics. Other days, I need meditation music with soft chimes and no lyrics. Find your music, make your playlists and keep your music close. Slip away and forget that everything and everyone sucks. Just tell yourself how much you DON'T care.

Here are some links to some of my favorite mood/chill music:

Oomph!-Auf Kurs  (when I'm feeling deep, I love listening to this german song. Get lost in the idea of searching for your soul mate.)

Lisa Hall-Is this real? (When I want to feel sexy, this song always hits the spot. Imagination is my destination.)

Ghost Ship Soundtrack-My little box  (Feeling Creepy? This is the jam. I could disappear into a forest where vampires and fairies fight for the blood of the Lone one. See, I'm serious about trance!)

Conjure One-Tears from the Moon (I especially love this song when I need a reminder of myself.)

A Perfect Circle-The Hollow (UGH! YES!! I can't even...explain why this band means the world to me. If you haven't heard, I suggest you do!)

These were just a taste of what I enjoy disappearing to. I love music, it is who I am and I appreciate every artist that puts their heart and soul into their music!!
