DIY FAILS

It's not like I've done a whole hell of a lot today, but I can tell you about my DIY fail that made an awful mess, burned my hands and ultimately did NOT work!!

The video I followed instructions down to the T:

Arabic sugar wax

First of all, this chick is adorable! And the failure could have been on my part..but...but I followed her instructions very carefully!
Secondly, it should have been really simple for die hard DIYer like myself! T'wasn't in the least.
Thirdly..ugh, I'll just list what happened.

1. 1 cup sugar, some water, some lemon. CHECK!

1. Pan, heat, ingredients. CHECK!

1. OK, No heat reference, but boil...check?

1. Golden like honey, not burned...check!

1. Pour onto cooling surface. CHECK! 

1. Fold into/onto itself until it cools a little. CHECK

1. Spoon broke...burned self...lost half of my mixture to hardening on my surface...

1. Ok, don't panic. Cool enough to knead. CHECK

1. Ok, its getting hard and smooth...this doesn't look like her stuff...

1. Ok, I can't manipulate it like she can...

1. I'll try it on my arm anyway...

1. Ok that hurt AND didn't work

1. Maybe Gabe can get it to work...

1. Boyfriend tries it...NO WORK!

1. Hmm, maybe I should heat it back up for just a few seconds...

1. Fuses to the plastic wrap

1. Just a little piece to try

1. Ok, little piece hardened again, microwave

1. FUSED TO MY MICROWAVE

So, I threw it away and called it a loss! LOL
No GOOD!
There is no such thing as MIRACLE WAX! Especially not this stuff.
Now, I'm not sure if I'm up for anymore failure, but the plan is to make some soft wax I can kinda use LIKE this stuff where it can be pulled off without cotton sheets, ya know?

I'm never really good at beauty stuff...its ok though, I do have a craft I want to try out and HOPEFULLY record that one since EVERY SINGLE DIY I TRY TO RECORD GETS RUINED SOME-FREAKING-HOW AND MY ASS JUST CHARLIE HORSED AND UUUUGBHJJJIKANMFGK
